Use this role for situations where front-line combat duty will not be important, such as stationing at Artillery, or driving a supply truck.
The Rifleman role is the only squad level role that can have multiple players using it. They should also not be afraid of laying down their own longer range fire due to the large amount of ammunition they are fielded with. The Rifleman role is one of the primary sources for ammunition resupplies, so do not be afraid of putting down re-supplies near "munition" heavy classes such as Machine Gunners, and Automatic Riflemen. The Rifleman role is the recommended role to play when getting accustomed to the game, as it is fitted with a powerful but limited primary weapon, supporting tools to help learn the game's basic logistics, and is the "cheapest" to field. The Rifleman role is the default role selected when joining a squad. Don’t be shy on using them either, after all, they’re no use to you on the respawn screen! These are fantastic at flushing out enemies behind cover or taking out a clustered group of foes. Use that throwing arm – The Rifleman comes equipped with grenades. Keep a close eye out for ammo hungry Machine Gunners in particular, they’ll quickly become your best friend if you give them a resupply. This allows your team to resupply their primary weapon ammo to keep up the fight! If your unit are holding a strongpoint, or you come across a group of friendly soldiers, ask them if they’d like some ammo. Not being with your unit will deny them of the valuable ranged fire you provide.Īmmo here! – Hey riflemen, you’ve got the ability to put down a small ammo box. From your position at the front of the unit, you’ll be one of the first to spot and engage the enemy. Know your weapon – How many bullets can your rifle fire before needing to reload? What’s the recoil like? How quickly can I shoot multiple targets? Taking the time to learn the answers to these questions will pay dividends in the heat of intense combat.ĭon’t wander off – As a rifleman, you are the eyes and ears of your Officer. This will give you a brief window where you’ll receive a slight zoom and increased accuracy/reduced weapon sway. Take a deep breath – When lining up the perfect shot, or scanning the area for enemy movement, try holding your breath when aiming down sight. Keep that in mind if you’re clearing out a trench system or rushing a building. However, whilst these rifles can be used at close range, they are outclassed by SMGs and handguns in close proximity. Use your reach – Both the M1 Garand and Karabiner 98k excel at mid to long range combat, giving players the ability to lay down fire, or pick off an unaware opponent with precise accuracy. A bad Rifleman will also play reserved and not risk their lives, leaving their more important squad-mates to make riskier moves. #Hell let loose mic not working how to
How to play poorly: A bad Rifleman tries to "run and gun" without establishing effective firing positions, or supporting squad members. He supplies ammunition to his teammates and makes sure that he’s the one to die before anyone else in riskier situations. How to play well: A good Rifleman moves with his unit, establishes enemy locations, and moves to provide accurate mid/long-range fire. This resupply can only occur once per life. A white outline means you’re good to go! To resupply, approach the box and hold F to collect more ammunition. A black outlined ammo box indicates you may need to find more suitable terrain before it can be deployed. You can place your ammo box for your platoon by selecting it in your load-out and using LMB to deploy it.
